Brazil Cup

The Brazilian Cup took place on December 6 and 7 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. There were about 40 teams coming from all over Brazil to compete in the final event of the season and battle it out for the prizes.

Mikko Huttunen and Pete "Mr. U" Utschig came down to hang with Xalo Almeida and the teams, play some paintball, and offer technical support for the DYE and Proto teams that were in attendance.

After 2 days of playing it out, 3 DYE sponsored teams took home the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. Jungle Boyz continued their long streak, winning the 1st place prize for the fourth year in a row. Team Ninjinhas took 2nd place and Team Jungle Boyz Sao Paulo took 3rd place.

Congratulations go out to all the teams that took part in the Brazilian Cup 2008.

DYE Precision, Inc. signs the London Tigers

DYE Precision and Proto Paintball is proud and honoured to announce the signing of one of Europe’s oldest elite teams. The LONDON TIGERS.

They will be using Proto playing and protective gear, Axis Pro Goggle systems, the multi-tournament winning DYE DM9 and the all new DYE ROTOR loading system. All this and the Tigers commitment to reaching new heights should prove to be a Viscious combination.

Formed in 1986, the Tigers have always had a feared reputation as a team that fights hard and never gives in. Backed by some of the most experienced coaches in the game today, their young line up is talented and hungry to perform to an even higher standard than they achieved this season, finishing 10th in a tough Millennium SPL division. Millenniums will not be the only goal for the team, with aims for competing at a number of National UK events also.

Team Captain, Jimmy “The Sponge” Martin said:
“The London Tigers are very pleased and excited about signing with DYE/PROTO for the 2009 season and becoming their new Proto team. Shooting the DM9 is something the whole team are looking forward to. The TIGERS were one of the original teams that used and helped research and develop the original Matrix. The team cannot wait for the season to start so we can get out there and represent both Proto and DM brands. We hope we can pay back the faith DYE have shown in us with some great results on the field.”

Sky DYEving!!!!!

Julien &

DYE dealer and now friend, Julien (left) from CS paintball Concept, introduced our French sales representative Fabrice Poujade (right), to a new extreme sports community: the sky divers! Being thrown out of a light aircraft at 4000 meters almost generates the same adrenaline rush of the "10 Second" buzzer but without the refs and chronographs! "Living the Life"... We think so!

Angry Fish from Spain win 1st Madrid X-Ball

Angry Fish Madrid

No.1 Nexus fans and Spain’s craziest team, Angry Fish, win the Madrid X-Ball League. Played in wind and rain that would have made you think you were in the UK, Angry Fish played some solid paintball to lift the trophy.

Leire Goeikola (she isn't the teams mascot by the way but one of the teams full on killers) said that her DM8 was “LOOOOOOOooooooovely!”

In English that translates to; “I was very happy with my DM8. It didn't skip a beat all weekend even in the terrible weather we had. I would highly recommend picking one up!”

Congrats guys!
Keep up the good work

European Central Series - Prague 26th and 27th April 2008

Bullets

Budapest Bullets take the first place trophy in the Pro division after a tough weekend at the first leg of the newly formed European Central Series (ECS).

Only losing one match all weekend they looked dominant in tough division and have made the first step to securing the ECS title in 2008.

Congratulations to Árpi and all the Bullets crew which included Mr "U" and also to "Eastern Block", the Bullets second team, who came 2nd in the Open division.

Nexus

London Nexus entered their "Kids" into this event and managed a respectable 4th place Pro. Helped by London Nexus starters Tommy Gun and Dunny they all showed great heart and proved they have the potential to be top class players. They are all young and eager to learn and will be looking to improve on that during the rest of the ECS season.
